Exploring the Area

Weston is an idyllic sleepy village in West Northamptonshire, very close to the Cotswolds.

We are ideally situated for many National Trust and other historic houses, such as Canons Ashby, Holdenby House, Kelmarsh Hall, Rockingham Castle, and Ashby Manor House, the famous location for the gunpowder plot in 1605, as well as Sulgrave Manor, George Washington's ancestral home, just a stroll across the fields.

Until a couple of years ago, Weston Hall was home to the famous Sitwell family. There is a beautiful bronze sculpture of hands on Edith Sitwell's tombstone at Lois Weedon churchyard.

Silverstone and its interactive motorsport museum is not far away, Northampton & Lamport Steam and Heritage Railway, and Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre are also just a stones throw.

There are miles and miles of countryside walks from the door, and plenty of opportunities to stop for refreshments in many picturesque villages along the way.
The Crown Inn, (01295 760310) our village pub next door, has a roaring open fire and a great selection of beer and food.

Our choice of rooms make the ideal base from which to explore all that this wonderful part of the country has to offer, whether you want a romantic break, a weekend away with friends or an adventurous family break.
