'Wilde' House

The house was built in the 16th century and is one of the oldest houses in the village.

The barn at the front of the house used to be the Malt House and serviced the 2 pubs at either end of the car park. The Crown Inn you see today is still a freehold pub, but the other one, The White Horse, has long since gone.

We believe the house was actually 2 cottages knocked through to one in the Victorian times, as the original front door frame can be seen behind the grander door that is there now.

We have now renovated and extended the house to make a great space for entertaining.

As a bed and breakfast offering, guests have use of a snug lounge, breakfast room, and private dining area, as well as a huge landscaped garden, and a treatment room based in the Malt House.
